Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland: Wood Splitting at Camp Finbrooke

What is camping without a campfire? Our girls and troops go through a lot of firewood – and luckily we have an easy source in abundance! What we don’t have is the help we need year round to prepare it all. That’s where you come in!
Help us build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place! Our outdoor program pillar is an essential part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience – and we can’t get camp ready for next year without YOU! We work hard on Day of Caring to make sure you know how appreciated you are – especially when it comes to feeding you. Come enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, our Girl Scout hospitality, and change the lives of girls in our community.
For this project, you’ll want to wear clothing that you don’t mind getting messy in. The area is shaded woods. Dress for the weather, and bring bug spray.
