Girl Scouts: Wood Splitting at Camp Finbrooke
June 17 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pmFree
Remember that summer feeling — that feeling of freedom, excitement and possibility? You wanted to pack every moment with something fun. You were in charge of your adventure, and it was awesome. Help Girl Scout Summer Camp be the gateway for that summer feeling for girls in the Ozarks.
Nothing beats gathering around a campfire – telling stories, singing songs, and of course – s’mores! We source all campfire wood for the summer from our trees on our camp property. We are behind on splitting wood for the upcoming season and need your help!
We work hard on Day of Caring to make sure you know how appreciated you are – especially when it comes to feeding you. Come enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, our Girl Scout hospitality, and change the lives of girls in our community.
For this project, you’ll want to wear clothing that you don’t mind getting messy in. The area is shaded woods. Dress for the weather, but keep in mind that bugs don’t care how hot it is!
