Least of These: Personal Care and Hygiene Drive
June 17 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pmFree
One of our food pantry’s goals is to provide human dignity to those in need by supplying families with hygiene and personal care items.
33% of low-income families, who are unable to afford basic household necessities, report bathing without soap because they are unable to afford it. Unfortunately, government help, such as food stamps or SNAP benefits, does not cover the cost of personal care and hygiene items, leaving these people no way to obtain items often taken for granted, such as deodorant, laundry detergent and dish soap. One of the most shocking items not covered by most medical benefits or other forms of aid are incontinence briefs. This is a human dignity issue that can keep people housebound and isolated.
You business can collect the 6 personal care and hygiene items as a team that Least Of These strives to provide to our food pantry clients. A Least of These staff member can come to your business to pick up the items or you can send a team member from your organization to drop them off at Least Of These on a Tuesday or Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Hygiene Items to Collect:
