Ozarks Food Harvest: Full Circle Garden
June 17 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pmFree
The Ozarks Food Harvest (OFH) Full Circle Garden Program works to connect local, fresh foods to those in the community struggling with hunger. When volunteers visit our home garden of 76 raised beds and two high tunnels in Rogersville, they will get to experience a variety of tasks involved in growing veggies. Depending on the weather, volunteers may participate in planting or harvesting a variety of crops, preparing areas that will soon be planted, helping to keep beds free of weeds, assisting with organic pest control, and even learning the ins and outs of composting. Our home garden produces nearly 10,000 pounds of veggies that we distribute directly to agencies in and around Springfield.
All supplies will be provided by OFH. Please dress appropriately for the weather and we encourage you to wear a hat and sunscreen. There is a bathroom onsite.
Our home garden is just east of Springfield at 2835 South Farm Road 227, Rogersville 65742-8875
